How are you? I feel like you have been underappreciated for the things you have done for way too long. So I’m writing you this letter to acknowledge all the challenges you have overcome in the face of hardship and adversity. I’m not going to pretend that I understand all the struggles you have gone through as a woman, but I would like this letter to be something you can hold on to. Especially when you feel like you don’t receive enough praise and gratitude for the things you have done for the people around you.
YOU ARE MORE THAN THE STEREOTYPE SOCIETY HAS LABELLED YOU.
I can honestly say that you are a crucial part of humanity. You have taught me to see the beauty in everything and the value of nurturing others without forgetting to nurture ourselves. You are not afraid to show the power and influence that you exemplify. Each step you take is one full of determination and intent, moulding you into the strong person that you are now. Without a single doubt, the best of who I am as a man today is largely because of you. You have taught me how to control and reign in my ego and to always express myself in the best way possible.
I know the world is unkind to you at times, but remember to always hold your head up high, the way you told me to. You are more than the stereotype that society has labelled you. Stay true to who you are and fight for your beliefs, the way you told me. And always remind yourself that your strength is limitless and strong enough to change the world, the way you told me.
SO PLEASE DON’T STOP FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU. NEVER STOP FIGHTING.
You know that feeling of empowerment? I hope that you grasp it with both hands and run with it. Never let it go. We need resilience and compassion now more than ever in this world, the qualities that you never fail to embody. The real value of your femininity has been extremely undervalued for far too long. But know this; the real essence of who you are as a woman is far stronger than what everyone else thinks. So please don’t stop fighting for what is right for you. Never stop fighting.
I know you can never hear enough of this, but, thank you. Thank you for being unselfish when you didn’t have to be. Thank you for the unconditional loving care that you provide for everyone around you in more ways than one, even if it is not reciprocated most of the time. Thank you.
And one more thing; Happy International Women’s Day.
